Visitor guidelines at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph
Our visitation policy allows us to provide a safe environment, high-quality care, and positive experiences when and where our patients need us.
Additional information for visitors
- Visitation currently is limited to those who are 12 or older, except the NewLife Center at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph, where the minimum age to visit is now 18.
- Visitors showing signs or symptoms of infection or illness should not visit. Symptoms of illness could include cough, fever, runny nose, rash, vomiting, diarrhea, or sore throat.
- For the better health of our patients, visitors and employees Ascension Via Christi Hospitals are tobacco-free, inside and out. Please refrain from smoking anywhere on our grounds, including on sidewalks and curbs or in parking areas.
- Certain areas of the hospital, including the NICU, PICU, ER, labor and delivery, and surgery may have additional guidelines for visitors.
- Quiet hospital environments help healing and promote patient and visitor satisfaction. We ask that visitors please be respectful of our patients and refrain from making loud noises while in our facilities.
