Campus amenities at Ascension St. Francis Hospital
Ascension St. Francis Hospital is a place of healing, made just for patients and families. To help make your hospital stay more comfortable for you and your family, we provide a range of amenities, including:

Chapel and spiritual care
Patients, families and friends are welcome to pray and reflect in our chapel on the fifth floor. Catholic Mass is held every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. An ecumenical chaplain is available 247/7 to listen and offer comfort and spiritual support to you and your family during your stay. They also can help you with difficult decisions, grief support and interfaith worship services.

Dining
Visitors are welcome to eat in the cafeteria on the first floor next to the gift shop.

Gift shop
You’ll find a variety of personal items, magazines, gifts and cards in the hospital gift shop on the first floor. The gift shop is staffed by volunteers and is open until 7:30 pm during the week and 3 p.m. on weekends.

Gifts and deliveries
You can send mail, plants and flowers to the patients. Mail received after the patient is discharged will be forwarded to a home address. Go ahead and send Mylar balloons, but please don’t send latex balloons. You can bring food but only if the food is within the patient's dietary restrictions.

Mail and flowers
Your mail will be delivered to your room on weekdays. Any mail received after your discharge will be forwarded to your home. Flowers will be delivered to your room.

Room service and newspaper
Select your meal from a menu in your room, and we'll deliver it right to you. Just call nutrition services! Guest trays are available upon request.
You may also request a free Milwaukee Journal Sentinel when you call to order your breakfast through room service.

Care management services and advance directives
Nurse case managers and social workers will help you and your family deal with ongoing health care needs as well as social, emotional, financial, and other issues related to your medical conditions and procedures. They will also help you complete an Advance Directive.

CaringBridge
CaringBridge websites offer a personal and private space to communicate and show support, saving time and emotional energy when health matters most. Plus, they are easy to create and use. Authors can add health updates and photos to share their story while visitors leave messages of love, hope and compassion in the guestbook.
