Ascension Seton Hays recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Hospital for high performance in maternity care for uncomplicated pregnancies in 2025, 2024, 2023 and 2022.

Ascension Seton Hays earned an A rating from Leapfrog in 2024, 2023 and 2022. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program exclusively based on hospital prevention of medical errors, infections and injuries.

Ascension Seton Hays has been awarded a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in 2024 and 2023. The hospital rating summarizes a variety of measures across seven areas of quality – including safety of care, effectiveness of care, and patient experience – into a single star rating for each hospital.

Ascension Seton Hays has received the American Heart Association’s Get with Guidelines - Stroke GOLD PLUS with Target: Type II Diabetes Honor Roll award for the quality of care given to stroke patients with diabetes.

In 2024 and 2023, Ascension Seton Hays received the American Heart Association’s Get with Guidelines - Coronary Artery Disease Stemi Receiving Center - Gold Plus with Target:Type II Diabetes Honor Roll award for the quality of care given to advanced heart disease patients with diabetes. 

In 2023, Ascension Seton Hays received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center Silver Plus Achievement Award for the rapid care given to heart attack patients.

Ascension Seton Hays is recognized by the U.S. News Best Hospitals for Heart Attacks ratings in advanced care for heart attack and heart failure.

Ascension Seton Hays has received the American College of Cardiology’s Chest Pain ̶ MI Gold Performance Award for their commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients in 2023 and 2022.

Received a successful standing for the Triennial The Joint Commission (TJC) Laboratory and Hospital Surveys for patient quality care in 2022.

In 2022, Ascension Seton Hays emergency department became the second hospital in the state of Texas to provide The Texas EMS for Children Voluntary Pediatric Recognition Program (VPRP) to treat pediatric emergencies.

Ascension Seton Hays was recognized with a three star rating for CABG Surgery through the Society of Thoracic Surgeons in 2021.
