Quality awards and distinctions

For a third consecutive year, Ascension St. John Broken Arrow has been awarded a five-star rating, the highest achievement level possible, from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The hospital rating summarizes a variety of measures across seven areas of quality – including safety of care, effectiveness of care, and patient experience – into a single star rating for each hospital.

For Spring 2024, Ascension St. John Broken Arrow was one of just eight hospitals in the state to earn an A rating from Leapfrog. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program exclusively based on hospital prevention of medical errors, infections and injuries. Ascension St. John Broken Arrow has received this top rating for three consecutive years.

Ascension St. John Broken Arrow has received several Hospital Quality and Specialty Clinical Quality awards from Healthgrades. These include:

Ascension St. John Broken Arrow has received the distinction in recognition of the hospital’s high performing care of orthopedic patients, including those needing hip and knee replacements. “High Performing” is the highest distinction a hospital can earn from U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions.
