Successful outcomes with life-changing improvement
We use gold standard measures to evaluate each individual's progress from admission to discharge.
The World Health Organization-5 Well Being Index (WHO-5; Regional Office for Europe WHO, 1998) is one of the most widely used questionnaires assessing psychological well-being. Scores range from 0-100. On average residents admitted to the Center for OCD and Anxiety in the very low range of well being (26.8) and discharged above the clinical cutoff (51.4). This 92% improvement in psychological well-being occurred on average after 57 days of treatment.
The Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale (YBOCS; Goodman et al., 1989) is the gold standard OCD severity rating scale. Scores range from 0-40. On average residents admitted to the Center for OCD and Anxiety in the high severe range of severity (30.0) and discharge in the moderate range (19.5) after 57 days of treatment.
Our goal is to give every one of our patients the opportunity to have life-changing, meaningful improvement in their condition. Feedback from recent patients:
- Since my time at Foglia over the summer, I’ve made incredible progress.
- Of all the OCD "themes" I’ve worked through, I’m thrilled to share that BDD (Body Dysmorphic Disorder) might actually be the most improved — it’s a relief I can’t quite put into words. Every day I rediscover things that remind me why life is worth living.
- Life feels more hopeful and manageable than it has in a long time, and I wanted you to know the pivotal role you played in getting me here. Thank you so much for everything.
