Visitor guidelines at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - St. Joseph
Our visitation policy allows us to provide a safe environment, high-quality care, and positive experiences when and where our patients need us.
Additional information for visitors
- Visiting hours - recommended visiting hours are 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. daily. If you arrive after 8 p.m., please enter through our Emergency Department. You will be given a security bracelet that you must wear at all times.
- Critical care unit - recommended visiting hours for the St. Joseph Campus Critical Care Unit is 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Visitors showing signs or symptoms of infection or illness should not visit. Symptoms of illness could include cough, fever, runny nose, rash, vomiting, diarrhea, or sore throat.
- Certain areas of the hospital, including the NICU, PICU, ER, labor and delivery, and surgery may have additional guidelines for visitors.
- Parking - Valet Parking
St. Joseph Campus offers valet parking at the main entrance on Chambers Street for $1, payable upon arrival, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Non-Valet Parking
Find free, self-parking also in the hospital-operated parking structure between 51st and 52nd Streets. A small parking lot is also near our Emergency Department entrance on Burleigh Street. Limited short-term parking is available on streets surrounding the hospital.
If desired, security staff will escort you to your car, whether you are parked in the parking structure or on the street. They also will help visitors who have car trouble. Call extension 2154 to arrange for these services.
