Visitor guidelines at Ascension Calumet Hospital

Our visitation policy allows us to provide a safe environment, high-quality care, and positive experiences when and where our patients need us.

Additional information for visitors

  • Visiting hours - 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.
  • Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Nursing staff and leadership may customize a patient's visiting hours based on their individual needs. Special restrictions may apply to isolation rooms.
    Special notes:
    • Parents of pediatrics patients are encouraged to visit anytime and/or stay overnight.
    • To ensure the comfort of all hospital patients, please limit visitors to four or less at one time.
    • Coronary/intensive care patient visitors are restricted to family members and clergy only.
    • Nursing care team may customize each patient's visiting hours based on the patient's needs.
  • Visitors showing signs or symptoms of infection or illness should not visit. Symptoms of illness could include cough, fever, runny nose, rash, vomiting, diarrhea, or sore throat.
  • Certain areas of the hospital, including the NICU, PICU, ER, labor and delivery, and surgery may have additional guidelines for visitors.
  • Parking - visitors are asked to park their vehicles in the parking lot off Memorial Drive.
  • Restrooms - public restrooms are located near the front lobby entrance.
