Our highly experienced cardiologists and vascular specialists provide a full range of care from managing high blood pressure, pulmonary hypertension or high cholesterol to preventing heart attack or stroke and providing innovative treatments for A-fib, structural heart damage and advanced heart failure. Our interventional cardiologists specialize in minimally invasive angioplasty and stent placement procedures to remove plaque build-up and provide embolic protection.

Ascension Texas Cardiovascular-Bastrop electrophysiologists (EP) diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders, including A-fib and all causes of arrhythmia.  EP doctors perform minimally invasive ablation procedures to correct your irregular heartbeat. We also have EP clinics at five other locations.

When surgery is needed, our cardiac surgeons have the skills, experience, and state-of-the-art techniques to repair or replace a damaged heart valve. Even if you live far away, we provide services close to home to monitor your progress. After a cardiac event or surgery, the Ascension Seton Cardiac Rehabilitation care team provides education, supervised exercise therapies, and dietary guidance. Some patients are in our telehealth monitoring program so we can routinely check your vitals and your implanted device (pacemaker, the WATCHMAN device or a defibrillator).

Cardiologists at Ascension Texas Cardiovascular - Arbor Trails Cardiology in Austin, Texas, are specially trained in the latest heart and vascular testing, treatment and procedures to prevent, diagnose and treat heart disease. If you need advanced surgical care or other specialized heart care, you are connected to heart care that’s right for you.

Personalized care starts with a collaborative conversation. Talk with your cardiologist about new symptoms, health history, managing medications and risk for heart disease. Your care team coordinates any heart tests, diagnostics and treatments, and monitors your heart care to help prevent more serious conditions such as heart attack and stroke. Some of our cardiologists are also interventional cardiologists and perform minimally invasive heart procedures such as angioplasty and stent placement to open clogged arteries. And if advanced surgery is part of your care plan, your cardiologist will connect you with a cardiovascular surgeon.

If your care requires imaging, lab testing, or pharmacy support, we help connect the dots for you. Imaging tests, cholesterol tests, heart enzyme blood tests, EKG, and blood pressure monitoring help your doctor diagnose heart disease — irregular heartbeat, leaky heart valve, clogged coronary artery, and more.

Specialty care for AFib and other heart rhythm disorders

When you choose a cardiologist at Ascension Texas Cardiovascular you get specialty care for arrhythmia and other heart rhythm disorders. Your doctor can diagnose AFib (atrial fibrillation), and common arrhythmia. Having AFib increases your risk for a stroke or transient ischemic attack (also called a TIA or mini-stroke). If you have AFib, your doctor may refer you to an electrophysiologist and may recommend cardioversion, ablation, cardiac resynchronization technology (CRT) or a WATCHMAN™ device, to help regulate your heartbeat.
