Visiting hours
General hospital visiting hours are from 4:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., although visiting hours may vary throughout the hospital. The Care Team and/or Security may need to modify visiting hours to ensure full care of each patient. Please call the individual nursing units for specific information. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Parking is available for all patients and visitors at the Blue garage at 1301 W 38th St, Austin, TX 78705. Primary entrance to the garage is off 34th street.

Dining
The cafeteria is located on the center of the ground floor at the intersection of a personnel hallway and visitor hallway both of which lead to the visitor and staff elevators.
Monday–Friday hours are:
- 6:30a.m. – 9:00 a.m. for breakfast
- 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for hot lunch
- 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. for hot supper
Saturday & Sunday hours are:
- 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for breakfast
- 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for hot lunch
- 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for hot supper
Vending machines are located adjacent to the cafeteria in the atrium area and on various floors 24 hours a day for your convenience.
Telephone calls
To reach a patient at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, dial 512-324-1000 and the operator will connect you with the patient. If you know the room number, you can dial it directly. The three-digit room number makes up the last three numbers of the phone number proceeded by 3241. For example, to call room #100, simply dial 324-1100.
Courtesy and pay phones are located throughout the hospital for your convenience. To place an outside call from inside the hospital, dial “9” and then the number. To call within the hospital, simply dial the 5-digit extension Ext.: 11771 or 47100. To reach the hospital operator, dial “0”. To place a long-distance call, dial “9”, “0 ” and the number. The operator will come on the line and connect you with your chosen long distance provider. International calls must go through the hospital operator.
Cell phone use
At Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, we are continually seeking means to provide a safe patient care environment. Recent advancements in telecommunications technology have provided much convenience; however, some of these same technologies may interfere with the performance of advanced medical equipment. Accordingly, Ascension Seton must prohibit the use of cell phones in the following critical care areas: Emergency, Surgery, ICU, NICU, 3N/S, IMC, 4S, EP, Endoscopy and Cath Lab. Automated teller machine (ATM)
An ATM is located on the ground floor near the cafeteria for your convenience.
