Ascension St. Vincent Carmel volunteers donate their time and energy in an effort to make a patient's stay as comfortable as possible. Our volunteers perform duties that lighten the load of our staff, services for patient comfort. Thank you for your interest in volunteering. There isn’t a gift more generous, more compassionate or more appreciated than giving your time.
How to become a volunteer
Join our team of volunteers that help make Ascension St. Vincent Carmel in Indiana feel like home to our patients and community. There are a number of requirements that all Ascension Indiana volunteers must meet to join our team.
- Volunteers must be 18 years old or older
- Volunteers must obtain parental consent if you are under 18.
- Special accommodations may be made for students fulfilling an internship requirement for a high school curriculum.
- Call 317-582-7262 and request a volunteer application and meet with our Volunteer Manager.
- Pass a background check and complete a physical through our Associate Health Office.
- This physical will include a urine drug screening, blood titers and a TB test that we provide at no charge.
- Volunteers will participate in peer-to-peer training and orientation.
