At Ascension St. Vincent, we provide advanced diagnostics, heart valve imaging, and therapeutic and surgical treatments. Whenever possible, your doctor may recommend a minimally invasive procedure, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Mazanek

Heart scans to detect risk

A simple heart screening can help you and your doctor better understand your heart health and could help save your life. Talk to your primary care doctor to see if a heart screening is right for you. A heart scan is not for everyone. It is not recommended for routine screening of people who do not have symptoms of heart disease and have a low risk of heart attacks. Some heart disease risk factors include hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, tobacco use and a family history of heart disease.

Chaudhry/Sudharshan

Advanced care for heart failure

Ascension St. Vincent has been the largest transplant program in Indiana for 15 consecutive years. If transplant or ventricular assist devices are recommended as part of your care plan, you are connected to experienced surgeons at Ascension St. Vincent who specialize in more advanced care and open-heart surgery. Your surgical care plan is personalized to your needs.

Kourany

Advanced care for chronic total occlusions

A chronic total occlusion (CTO) is a complex heart condition with a 100 percent blockage in one or more coronary arteries. Symptoms may include chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, nausea and rapid or irregular heartbeat. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, talk with a heart specialist at Ascension St. Vincent about your treatment options.

St. Vincent's Structural Heart Disease

Vascular care and trivascular screenings

Vascular specialists at Ascension St. Vincent specialize in vascular care – from trivascular screenings to minimally invasive surgery. A trivascular screening is a series of tests that can detect clogged, damaged, or weakened blood vessels inside your body. Talk with a cardiologist to see if a trivascular screening is right for you.

Walts

ECMO for heart and lung support

Experienced specialists at Ascension St. Vincent provide extra corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) therapy as part of advanced care for patients who have life-threatening lung and heart conditions, including severe heart and respiratory failure, and who are critically ill.
