He is the Director of Transplant/VAD Infectious Diseases, The St. Vincent Outpatient Infusion Center, and the Chairman of the Department of Infectious Disease at Ascension St Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN as well as a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. He is also the medical director for Indiana's oldest AIDS service organization for patients living with HIV.

Dr. Bochan holds a patent, Pro-Apoptotic Bacterial Vaccines to Enhance Cellular Immune Responses, in the United States and 9 other countries for the development of a novel Mycobacterium tuberculosis vaccine.

Dr. Bochan has published numerous peer reviewed research manuscripts along with being an investigator in over 80 clinical trials.
