His leadership roles have included many hospital positions, currently serving as Chief of the Surgery Council at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas for over 20 years. He was awarded the 2015 Physician of the Year for his contributions to the hospital and patient care.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Fielder enjoys his family time with his wife and three children as well as playing golf and supporting the University of Texas sports teams.
