Clifford S. Calley, MD, is a pediatric neurologist with UT Health Austin who practices at Dell Children's in Austin, TX. He specializes in pediatric epilepsy. Additionally, Dr. Calley is a courtesy assistant professor in both the Dell Medical School Department of Neurosurgery and the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Calley earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed a residency in pediatrics and a second residency in pediatric neurology as well as a fellowship in epilepsy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where he was awarded the CNS-CNF-AES (Child Neurology Society/Child Neurology Foundation/American Epilepsy Society) Pellock Fellowship Award. Dr. Calley serves as the Medical Director of the Magnetoencephalography (MEG) laboratory at Dell Children’s Medical Center. His clinical interests include using multimodal imaging to localize seizure networks and to identify patients who might benefit from epilepsy surgery. His publications span a range of clinical topics, from pediatric depression to Gulf War Syndrome, using electroencephalography (EEG), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Having a close family member with epilepsy, he is dedicated to using both his clinical and research skills to improve the lives of those suffering from this debilitating disease.
