Jennifer S. Ruth, MD, is a board-certified, experienced pediatric dermatologist at Dell Children's in Austin, Texas. Dr. Ruth has specialized training and expertise to diagnose and treat dermatologic conditions in children. She starts by listening to understand your child and their symptoms. Then, Dr. Ruth works with you to create a care plan that's right for your child.

Dr. Ruth has a clinical interest in hyperhidrosis, birthmarks, psoriasis, laser surgery and other surgical procedures, and more. Dr. Ruth has the expertise to deliver advanced treatments, including BOTOX™ injections, cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen), immunotherapy (to treat skin diseases), minor skin procedures, narrow band UVB therapy, laser treatments, and wart treatments. Our multispecialty team approach to care means that if your child's condition is more complex, Dr. Ruth works with a team of pediatric specialists, if necessary, to provide comprehensive care for your child.

Dr. Ruth also is an assistant professor in the department of Pediatrics, a courtesy assistant professor in the department of Internal Medicine, and wellness director for the division of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas Medical School.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Ruth, a native Texan, enjoys spending time with her family and dogs. she loves teaching her daughter how to be an Austinite and enjoy the outdoors (with sunscreen!).
