Ewell Roach, MD, is a pediatric neurologist at Dell Children's in Austin, Texas. He specializes in the treatment of traumatic brain injuries and neurologic disorders that affect your child’s brain, spine and nerves. Dr. Roach starts by listening to understand your child's needs at any age -- from infancy to adolescence. Then, he works with you to create a care plan that’s right for your child. Dr. Roach is a professor and Associate Chair for Clinical Integration and Operations at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, Department of Neurology. Dr. Roach has experience in a variety of clinical, academic and research roles. He has led multiple neurology programs and held various academic appointments. He has authored or edited nine medical textbooks and more than 200 journal articles, many focusing on genetic neurological disorders or strokes in children and adults. Dr. Roach is the editor-in-chief of Pediatric Neurology, a peer-reviewed medical journal. He is the former president of the Child Neurology Society. Dr. Roach is the Chief of UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children's and the Section Chief for UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s.
