About Hilton Phillip Gottschalk, MD

Hilton P. Gottschalk, MD, FAOA, FAAOS, is an experienced pediatric orthopedic surgeon and provides personalized care for bone, muscle and joint conditions that affect children and teens. Dr. Gottschalk specializes in bone fracture care and inherited bone and muscle disorders at Dell Children's in Austin, Texas with both non-surgical and surgical treatment options. He starts by listening to understand you and your child's health concerns. Then, Dr. Gottschalk works with you to create a personalized care plan for your child's needs. Our pediatric orthopedic specialists are part of a national team of bone, muscle and joint care specialists, sharing best practices to diagnose and treat types of pediatric orthopedic conditions. Ask about virtual visits as part of your child's ongoing care.

Whether your child has new joint pain or you want to talk about a current diagnosis, Dr. Gottschalk is here for you. If surgery is recommended, he will discuss all the options to ensure that your child has the best result possible. And you'll have an entire care team dedicated to your child's care and recovery, including occupational and physical therapists, to help improve your child's strength and mobility.

Dr. Gottschalk has a special interest in pediatric hand and upper extremity, and is dual fellowship trained in pediatric orthopedics and hand surgery.
