Professional Statement
Being a nurse and nurse practitioner has taught me to provide care in a wholistic way, so that all aspects of my patient's spiritual and physical health are nurtured in a trustworthy manner. Meeting and working with people of diverse backgrounds is important to me, because it allows me to develop and cultivate unique relationships. It is my hope to sustain those relationships over a lifetime. The patient knows their body best, and in my practice I hope to provide more knowledge that supports the patient's journey towards wellness. Therefore, I seek to listen and gather information so that I may understand my patient's needs and goals, which serves as the foundation to develop a tailored and sophisticated plan of care. I believe that I can make a difference in the people that I care for by educating them to reach their highest level of health and wellness. Patients know their bodies better than I do. Therefore, I'd like to make my patients smarter in a way that supports a self-care philosophy to prevent and slow the progression of disease. Simply, I want to help patients add points to their health IQ!
