Scott R. Geraghty, MD, is a board-certified neuroendovascular surgeon and the medical director of Neuroendovascular and Stroke Services at Ascension Illinois in the Chicago area. Dr. Geraghty and his Ascension Neuroendovascular Surgery team of experts provide patients with a multidisciplinary approach to care in a collaborative, patient- and family-focused environment.

Dr. Geraghty’s practice focuses on minimally invasive, endovascular treatments for brain and spinal cord vascular diseases. Specifically, he specializes in the treatment of cerebral aneurysms, acute stroke thrombectomy, arteriovenous malformations, intracranial atherosclerosis, carotid artery stenosis, and pre-operative tumor embolization of the brain and spine.

Dr. Geraghty has appeared on ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC News, as well as in the Chicago Sun-Times. He is a senior member of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery, has been invited to speak at multiple national meetings, and serves as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery.
