About Cynthia Anne Austin, PhD
Cynthia Austin, PhD, ABPP, is a board-certified pediatric neuropsychologist with UT Health Austin who practices at Dell Children's specializing in traumatic brain injury (TBI) and concussion care in Austin, Texas. Dr. Austin's has expertise in diagnosing and treating neuropsychological disorders related to brain injury, premature birth, hereditary conditions and autoimmune disorders.

Whether your child has new symptoms or you just want to talk to a doctor about your child's physical and emotional health, Dr. Austin is here for you. She will listen to understand you and your child, so they get compassionate, personalized care for their brain and central nervous system disorder. She also delivers follow-up care for other brain-related conditions, including epilepsy, hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, and childhood stroke, and behavioral and mental health disorders in children and adolescents.
Dr. Austin participates in clinical research that focuses on many aspects of traumatic brain injury care, including the parent experience, family interventions, predictors and outcomes of TBI, and prolonged recovery from mild TBI versus adjusting to moderate-to-severe TBI. She is also part of a multisite study about Teen Online Problems Solving (TOPS) interventions for adolescents and their families following traumatic and acquired brain injuries.
