Thomas Swift Davis, MDMedical Oncology in Jacksonville, FL

Thomas S. Davis, MD, is board-certified in hematology and oncology and practices at Cancer Specialists of North Florida's (CSNF) Riverside location. Dr. Davis joined CSNF in 2005, and currently serves as the Chair of Hematology and Oncology for Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital. Originally from Northern New Jersey, he completed his undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University before earning two master’s degrees and his Doctor of Medicine. He subsequently served in the US Navy, completing his internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. As the General Medical Officer for the USMC Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, he was responsible for the national and international training of first responders and medical personnel.

On completion of his military service, Dr. Davis completed further training at Cornell, New York Hospital, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital for internal medicine, before completing a fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. In addition, he assisted in the response to 9/11 at New York Hospital, something he calls one of his proudest moments and one he will never forget.

Dr. Davis chose to join CSNF because of the cutting-edge therapies not typically found in smaller areas like North Florida. He believes that the CSNF community exhibits a level of dedication to patients that is second to none.

When not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, traveling, carpentry, hiking, and reading.
