Sarah Lindsay Wood, MDMaternal & Fetal Medicine in Austin, TX

S. Lindsay Wood, MD, is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at Ascension Seton Medical Group in Austin, Texas. She works with your OB-GYN to deliver advanced care for high-risk pregnancy and when you are expecting multiples.

Dr. Wood's clinical interests include maternal and fetal congenital heart disease, preterm birth prevention, ultrasound, and prenatal diagnosis. She strives to deliver compassionate, personable care to each of her patients while remaining committed to quality improvement, evidence-based medicine, and furthering her field through teaching and research.

She is a fellowship-trained and the Clinical Director of Ultrasound for Women’s Health, a clinical collaboration between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. Additionally, Dr. Wood is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Women’s Health. Dr. Wood graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. She completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The University of Arizona College of Medicine and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She is an active member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and has served on multiple committees within the organization. Her research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and she has presented her work at various national and international meetings. She is also a recipient of multiple teaching and research awards.
