Juliana F. Vaughan, MD, is a board-certified, experienced pediatric gastroenterologist at Dell Children's in Austin, Texas. Dr. Vaughan has the expertise to diagnose and care for gastrointestinal (GI) diseases and disorders in infants, children and teens. She takes a family-centered approach to care, working with families to make supportive changes and provide the right care plan for each child, including evidence-based therapeutics and non-surgical minimally invasive procedures, whenever possible.

Dr. Vaughan has the expertise to diagnose and can treat many gastrointestinal (GI) disorders and conditions, including celiac disease, inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS), feeding or failure to thrive concerns, constipation and more. Dr. Vaughan has a clinical interest in caring for children with biliary atresia, celiac disease, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, chronic diarrhea, GI motility disorders, Hirschsprung’s disease, liver disease, cystic fibrosis, chronic pain, chronic constipation, neurogastroenterology, non-specific diarrhea, IBD, EoE, failure to thrive, feeding issues, GERD, hepatitis, pancreatitis, and short bowel syndrome. As part of our multispecialty approach for complex conditions, Dr. Vaughan works with pediatric specialists when needed to provide comprehensive care, including surgical options. Dr. Vaughan's goal is to determine the cause of your child’s symptoms and deliver a care plan that helps provide relief.

Dr. Vaughan has a clinical interest in nutrition and intestinal failure, and has experience with pediatric gastrointestinal illnesses with a special focus on nutrition and intestinal failure. She is establishing the Intestinal Rehabilitation Program at Dell Children's Medical Center.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Vaughan enjoys spending time with her husband and two children in Austin.
