Tara K. Ortiz, MD, is an independent, board-certified urologist with Ascension Seton in Dripping Springs, Texas in the Austin area. She provides comprehensive urologic care for adults and adolescents ages 15 and older, with clinical interests in kidney stones and benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), as well as prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers, urethral stricture, overactive bladder, stress urinary incontinence and male infertility.

Dr. Ortiz is committed to partnering with her patients as both a coach and an advocate. She believes in delivering evidence-based urologic care that respects each patient's autonomy, supports informed decision-making, and promotes long-term health and wellness. Dr. Ortiz earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed her urology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She also completed additional training at Duke University Medical Center. She holds board certification from the American Board of Urology.
