Ayed O Ayed, MDMedical Oncology in Jacksonville, FL

Ayed O. Ayed, MD, is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine and practices at Cancer Specialists of North Florida's (CSNF) Riverside and Northside locations. Dr. Ayed grew up in Palestine and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Jordan.

His first home in the United States was Gainesville, Florida, where he lived for three years while completing his residency at the University of Florida. After completing his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. Ayed returned to the region he fell in love with during his residency: North Florida.

While in high school, Dr. Ayed’s uncle was diagnosed with cancer. His experience showed Dr. Ayed how inadequate control of symptoms and lack of information can lead to anxiety and suffering. This experience, combined with his love of science and biology, led him to a career in medicine and oncology, and taught him invaluable ways to assist patients. Through witnessing his uncle’s experience, he learned that good communication and symptom management are paramount, something that he emphasizes with all of his patients. Dr. Ayed loves having a job that gives him joy through service. He believes that serving his patients, colleagues, and community is his greatest privilege.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Ayed enjoys vegetarian cooking, gardening, spending time with friends and loved ones, and being in nature doing activities such as hiking and kayaking.
