Dr. Rohan Gopinath is a board-certified & fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive primary joint replacement and revision joint replacement.
Dr. Gopinath obtained his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, MI and completed his residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center/ Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD. He completed fellowship training in advanced joint replacement including techniques in robotic-guided surgery as well as direct anterior hip replacement at the Northshore Orthopaedic & Spine Institute.
Dr. Gopinath treats a comprehensive list of injuries and conditions that pertain to the hip and knee. His main goal in treating patients is to make sure they fully understand both the nature of their problem and all treatment options available to them. As a hip and knee reconstruction orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Gopinath focuses on restoring his patients to their optimal functional ability.
In 2023, Dr. Gopinath had the opportunity to participate in Operation Walk Chicago’s mission trip to Ho Chi Min City in Vietnam, along with surgeons from around the country. He helped to perform over 45 chartable hip replacements for disadvantaged patients suffering with debilitating joint disease.
In his free time, Dr. Gopinath enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. He enjoys staying active, playing golf, exploring restaurants, and cheering on University of Michigan sports (Go Blue!).
