Jose Carlos Cortez, MDPediatric Urology in Austin, TX

Dr. Jose Cortez is a board-certified urologist with sub-specialty certification in pediatric urology. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Houston and his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Cortez completed two years of general surgery training and a urologic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati as well as an advanced training fellowship in pediatric urology at the University of California-San Diego. Dr. Cortez was the first fellowship trained pediatric urologist in Central Texas and was one of the co-founders of Children's Urology, a sub-specialty medical practice dedicated to childrens urologist health. He has a special interest in advanced anatomic reconstruction for children with urologic congenital anomalies. Currently, he is the Urology Section Chief for Dell Children's Medical Center.
