Steven T. Adelstein, DPM, is a board-certified, experienced podiatrist at Ascension Illinois in Hoffman Estates near Chicago, IL and cares for adults with toe, foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Adelstein diagnoses and treats foot conditions such as athlete's foot, bone and heel spur, bunion, plantar fasciitis, ingrown and fungal toenail, etc. He performs foot surgery and minimally invasive treatments, such as injections, orthotic/ankle braces, fungal, routine diabetic footcare and wound care. Dr. Adelstein has a special interest in wound care, and serves as a panel physician and co-medical director of the Ascension Alexian Brothers Wound Center in Elk Grove Village.

Dr. Adelstein is board-certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Illinois Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Adelstein was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio.

After graduating from Ohio State University in 1993, he attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago and earned his DPM degree in 1997. Dr. Adelstein completed a two-year podiatric surgical residency program in Detroit, MI in 1999. During his residency, Dr. Adelstein received extensive non-operative and operative training in foot and ankle conditions, as well as managing complications associated with diabetes.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Adelstein enjoys traveling, following his favorite sports teams, and of course, spending time with his family.
