Michelle M. Braun, PhD, is a neuropsychologist at Ascension Wisconsin in Racine, WI. Dr. Braun rejoined Ascension Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in 2011 after serving as the Assistant Director of Inpatient Mental Health at the Boston VA and Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Braun is a board-certified neuropsychologist specializing in neuropsychological assessment, geropsychology, decisional capacity assessment, and behavioral medicine. She completed her internship at Yale University School of Medicine, and postdoctoral fellowship at the Boston VA/Harvard Medical School after earning her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and minor in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In 2008, the Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Wisconsin honored Dr. Braun with a Practitioner of the Year Award for her work with individuals with dementia. Dr. Braun serves on the Scientific and Advisory Panel of the Southeastern Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association, is an examiner for the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology, and a past member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology and Wisconsin Psychological Association. Dr. Braun has dozens of peer-reviewed publications and presentations in national forums and journals. Dr. Braun enjoys educating patients and families about the latest research in the field, and was featured in a 2013 PBS Special on brain health, and several other national media outlets. In 2013, Dr. Braun was also honored to be named to the "40 Under 40" class by the Milwaukee Business Journal, and received the Early Career Psychologist award from the Milwaukee Area Psychological Association, and the Joseph Runkel Award in Psychology from Carroll University.
