Leonardo Villegas, MD, is a board-certified, experienced surgical oncologist and general surgeon at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Villegas received his medical degree and trained in general surgery at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He initiated his U.S. surgical training at Harvard Medical School in Boston and completed his general surgery training at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He also completed a two-year hepatobiliary and surgical oncology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. At Duke University, he conducted research in robotic surgery.
