Professional Statement
I am a thoracic surgeon committed to exemplary patient outcomes in treating the most advanced conditions. I have a strong focus on continuing training and medical education specific to minimally invasive surgeries including robotic, thoracoscopic (VATS) and laparoscopic, as well as endoscopic procedures performed without surgical incisions. I prioritize listening to and addressing patient concerns and answering all questions in terms patients and their families can easily understand. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach with all members of the medical and surgical teams to ensure the highest standard of care is met for optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction. My extensive training and clinical experience provides me with knowledge and range of surgical techniques and procedures and ensures an added level of expertise and experience. My goal is to maintain sound cancer resection standards and safely remove tumors from the esophagus, airway and chest wall using the smallest incisions possible. This approach aims to minimize patient discomfort and in some cases avoid a surgical incision altogether so patients can quickly return to their normal activities and begin postoperative therapy in a timely fashion when needed.
