Kiran Jivanlal Parikh, MDGeneral Surgery in Columbia, MD

Kiran J. Parikh, MD, is a general surgeon at Ascension Saint Agnes in Columbia, MD. He is a board certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been practicing since 1984. He graduated from Goa Medical College in Panaji, India. He did a residency in surgery while still in India before coming to the U. S. in 1979 to do a general surgery residency at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Parikh has long been committed to the community. He has served as President of the Medical Staff as well as several hospital committees and is a regular attendee at the weekly Multidisciplinary breast Tumor Board meetings. Dr. Parikh was inspired by his family to enter the field of medicine and thanks his parents for encouraging him to undertake this rewarding field. He has participated in a broad range of research studies and been published numerous times. His research has focused on breast surgery, breast pathology and postoperative management. He is happily married and has two children. When not in the office, hospital, or operating room, he enjoys exploring and learning about new cultures and regularly participates in religious and volunteer activities. He likes to relax with a good book.
