Joshua D. Garren, MD, is a board-certified, experienced radiation oncologist at Ascension St. John in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Garren delivers radiotherapy such as internal and external beam radiation therapy, brachytherapy and systemic radiation therapy. He listens to understand and is ready to answer your questions - big and small.

Dr. Garren has a clinical interest in precision medicine using radiation technology to deliver targeted X-ray beams at the tumor while preserving healthy tissue. Radiotherapy is used to treat many types of cancer, such as breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer and more. With our multispecialty approach to care, he works with a team of cancer specialists to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care.

Dr. Garren completed his medical education at Brown University and Harvard University. He is an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the Tufts University School of Medicine. He is active in clinical research minimizing treatment toxicity.

Dr. Garren is certified by the American Board of Radiology and has held memberships in the Society for Neurological Oncology, the American Medical Association, and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, and served on the board of the New York Roentgen Society.

Dr. Garren has worked with Doctors of the World, and won an Albert Schweizer Fellowship to work in Africa.
