About Mark Randall Elliott, MD
Mark R. Elliott, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL. He completed an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida. Dr. Elliott worked as a physical therapist in Panama City, FL., for several years before entering medical school. He received his medical degree from Florida State University where he was inducted into the prestigious AOA Honor Medical Society. He then completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Florida and served as administrative chief resident. Dr. Elliott completed a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the University of Texas in Houston. While there he served as the assistant team physician for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo, and the University of Houston Athletic program. Dr. Elliott is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in the latest and most innovative techniques in arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, cartilage restoration, and non-operative treatments of sports-related injuries. Dr. Elliott's expertise also includes open and arthroscopic treatment of hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, and elbow injuries. As a native of the Florida panhandle, he is an avid fisherman in the coastal waters around Pensacola and Panama City. However, his favorite pastime is spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their two dogs. They can be found enjoying the beautiful Gulf Coast, running, paddle boarding, cooking, or relaxing with family and friends.
