Dr. Harris is originally from Springfield Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis where she was chief resident in her final year of residency. After residency she joined the St. Vincent Family Medicine Residency Program as a clinical faculty member. In 2016 she became the Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency. Her academic interests include preventive medicine and medical information technology.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time exercising and caring for her family. She is married to her husband, Dave, and has two children and the family's Border Collie.
