Rashad H. Khazi Syed, MD, is an adult cardiac electrophysiologist with Ascension Wisconsin at Saukville and Milwaukee, WI. Dr. Khazi Syed specializes in diagnosing and treating atrial fibrillation (AFib), a type of arrhythmia in which your heartbeat is irregular, either too fast or too slow. Dr. Khazi Syed is proficient in a wide range of complex cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including ablation of various arrhythmias, laser lead extractions, and cardiac device implantations. He is one of the few physicians who performs some of the most complex procedures in the state of Wisconsin, and continues to learn new techniques and procedures in his quest to provide the best possible care for his patients. He is also engaged in teaching medical residents.

Dr. Khazi Syed earned his medical degree at Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India and graduated in the top 1% of his class with multiple awards for academic excellence. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center where he also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Khazi Syed went on to complete his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his Adult Cardiac Electrophysiology training from Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Khazi Syed has been recognized with the Top Doctors Award multiple times. Through his professional training and current employment he is engaged in research, publications and has presented at both national and international conferences.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Khazi Syed enjoys spending time with his family. He is also an avid bird watcher and bird photographer.
