About Jonathan Mark Saxe, MD
Dr. Jonathan Saxe graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill. with a bachelor's degree in Biology, and earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He then went on to complete his General Surgery Residency and a Trauma Surgery Fellowship at Wayne State. In addition to his extensive medical education, he has a master's degree in Religion from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. Dr Saxe was previously the director of Trauma and Critical Care at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, and was a professor of Surgery at Wayne State University. Previously, he was director of Surgical Research and professor of Surgery at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he also held other leadership positions, including associate program director and interim director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. Dr. Saxe served as the immediate past chair of the Ohio Committee on Trauma and has more than 50 publications to his name. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Saxe will be a member of the Naab Road Surgical Group, and will lead and coordinate research efforts moving forward as St. Vincent Indianapolis pursues verification as a Level I Trauma Center.
