John K. Stokes, MD, is a fellowship trained spinal neurosurgeon with Ascension Texas Spine and Scoliosis in Austin, Texas. Dr. Stokes is board certified in neurosurgery, and provides surgical intervention to patients with a variety of spinal disorders, ranging from general to complex. He has a special interest in spinal cord/column tumors, artificial cervical disc replacement, and minimally invasive techniques. He has been in practice in Austin for more than 18 years, and has performed thousands of spinal procedures. Dr. Stokes maintains one of the busiest surgical practices in the region, while practicing an ethical "conservative care first" philosophy.
