Karyn E. White, MD, MS, is a board-certified, experienced maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialist at Ascension Saint Agnes in Baltimore, Maryland. She specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Dr. White listens to understand your needs and then works with you to create a personalized care plan.

Dr. White has a clinical interest in congenital fetal health conditions, gestational diabetes, genetic testing, recurrent pregnancy loss, preterm labor, placenta previa and transabdominal cerclage (TAC) procedures, and more. She delivers advanced diagnostic tests and care during high-risk pregnancy, labor and delivery, including fetal diagnostic testing and evaluations, prenatal screenings and ultrasound sonography.

Dr. White is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Dr. White received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Spelman College and received her Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Her experience at Spelman College fueled her passion for healthcare for women. Dr. White completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She received subspecialty training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (High-Risk Obstetrics) and completed a Masters of Science in Clinical Research from Emory University in Atlanta.

Early in her medical career, Dr. White served as an assistant professor in the department of gynecology and obstetrics at Morehouse School of Medicine.

With nearly 25 years of service in women’s health, she remains passionate about providing the highest level of care to her patients and seeks to optimize the care of high-risk pregnant women and their babies.

When not caring for patients, Dr. White is a mom to her favorite fur baby, a boxer named River. She is a member of Silver Spring (MD) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and a member of the Montgomery County (MD) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
