A native of Perkins, Oklahoma, Dr. Hawxby received his MD from the University of Oklahoma and his undergraduate degrees from Oklahoma State University and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He completed a 5-year general surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a 2-year fellowship in abdominal transplant surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Hawxby enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, reading, play the guitar, attending sporting events, and exploring as much of Oklahoma as possible.
