Alan N. Mayer, MD, is a board-certified, experienced pediatric gastroenterologist at Ascension Wisconsin in Racine and Franklin near Milwaukee, WI. Dr. Mayer has the expertise to diagnose and care for gastrointestinal (GI) diseases and disorders in infants, children and teens. He takes a family-centered approach to care, working with families to make supportive changes and provide the right care plan for each child, including evidence-based therapeutics and non-surgical minimally invasive procedures, whenever possible.

As a pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Mayer provides digestive health care for infants, children and young adults with disorders such as abdominal pain, celiac disease, constipation, cyclic vomiting syndrome, eosinophilic esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux, inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disease, malnutrition/failure to thrive and tube feeding support. He is skilled in performing upper endoscopy, colonoscopy and PEG tube (G-tube) placement in infants, children and young adults.
