About Bassem I Razzouk, MD
Bassem I. Razzouk, MD, is a pediatric hematologist and oncologist at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Razzouk provides compassionate, personalized care for children - from birth through young adulthood - with complex blood disorders and cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma, bone tumors, sarcomas, anemia, neutropenia, and thrombocytopenia. Dr. Razzouk is currently medical director of Pediatric hematology and oncology at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, where he is also the Children's Oncology Group (COG)'s Principal Investigator. He supervises around 50-60 open clinical research protocols. He has extensive experience as a clinical investigator in the areas of childhood leukemia and supportive care, and is currently the only doctor from Indiana serving as a committee member on the largest pediatric clinical trial for children, adolescents, and young adults with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Dr. Razzouk serves as a Vice-Chair of the Ascension St. Vincent's IRB, member of Cancer committee and is involved in several initiatives for quality improvement.
He is a member of American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Society of Clinical oncology (ASCO), and American Society of Pediatric Hematology /Oncology ( ASPHO), and is a fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
