Dr. Junaid Siddiqui, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Ascension Seton in Austin, Texas with over 25 years of experience in clinical medicine, advanced endoscopy, and academic research. He earned his medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan and moved to the United States in 1994 to pursue a Master's in Public Health (MPH) at The University of Oklahoma. He completed his internal medicine residency at The University of Connecticut in 1998 and later served for six years as a staff physician at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

His academic journey continued as research faculty at The University of Connecticut, where he facilitated pivotal Hepatitis C clinical trials. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at The University of Iowa in 2008 and has since developed extensive expertise in advanced endoscopic procedures and liver disease management.

Dr. Siddiqui's clinical interests include endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for Barrett's esophagus, and small bowel enteroscopy. He is certified in double balloon enteroscopy (DBE) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), having trained at Jichi Medical Center in Japan under Dr. Yamamoto-the inventor of DBE and a pioneer in ESD techniques.

In addition, Dr. Siddiqui performs the combined transoral oral incisionless fundoplication (C-TIF) for hiatal hernia repair in GERD patients. He is also experienced in the placement of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) and jejunostomy (PEJ) tubes for the administration of DUOzpA  (DUOPA) therapy in patients with Parkinson's disease.
