Dr. Edmond is a professor and the chair of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, Department of Ophthalmology. She is the director of the Dell Medical School’s Mitchel and Shannon Wong Eye Institute and is recognized as the Wong Family Distinguished University Chair at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Edmond’s clinical and research interests include complex eye misalignment in children and adults, pediatric neuro-ophthalmology, the ophthalmic impact of craniosynostosis, and pediatric brain tumors. She has authored more than 39 peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters and has delivered over 83 international and national lectures and presentations at professional medical meetings. She is passionate about educating the next generation of physicians and has trained nearly 250 physicians in pediatric and neuro-ophthalmology. She currently an adjunct professor for the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Edmond has served in many leadership and committee roles within the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and is a past president of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS).

When not caring for patients, Dr. Edmund, enjoys living in Austin with her husband and exploring all that Austin has to offer. She is a mom to two adult children.
