‘Nothing Shall Be Impossible’ campaign returns to Ascension Saint Thomas

Over a decade later, Saint Thomas is relaunching the Nothing Shall Be Impossible campaign to honor the past and highlight the patient and faith-based centered care of today.
From the very beginning, Nothing Shall Be Impossible was more than a marketing campaign. It was a reflection of Saint Thomas’ identity in Middle Tennessee - patient-centered care with a commitment to clinical excellence, faith-based healing and holistic well-being, for all. It’s been our commitment for over 125 years.
First launched in 2015, the four title words became more than a message, it became a call of hope across Middle Tennessee. Inspired by the Scripture Luke 1:37, it reminds us and the communities we serve that faith and healing are not separate paths, but intertwined journeys. The campaign put a spotlight on patients and families facing challenging medical conditions that seem impossible to overcome, but the expertise of our care teams helped each patient find hope. From cancer survivors to our tiniest patients, this campaign showcased how faith, science, and human connection come together.
The Nothing Shall Be Impossible campaign inspired the Middle Tennessee community. People called, wrote, and stopped our care team in the hall to share the ways Ascension Saint Thomas care has impacted their lives. The marketing campaign reminded people of fear turned to hope, and of prayers answered and of moments when they, too, were unsure until someone from Saint Thomas showed up, stood beside them, and gave them hope.
It resonated because it was real. Our caregivers know the feeling behind the message, because they live it every day. In hospital rooms and NICUs, in quiet chapels and difficult conversations.
Now, a decade later we are restoring the belief that nothing shall be impossible.
We are refreshing this powerful message to reflect who we are now as Saint Thomas, a health system rooted in faith and built on excellence. As we evolve to meet the needs of our patients and communities, we do so by honoring our past and stepping boldly into the future.
The reimagined Nothing Shall Be Impossible campaign will relaunch in partnership with the original agency, bohan, and their content studio, Fresh Consumables. And while the look and feel may be refreshed the campaign will stay true to the heart of the story and shine a light on the everyday miracles that happen in our hospitals. To remind the communities we serve that no diagnosis, no fear, no setback is ever faced alone.
Here, at Saint Thomas, healing is not just something we do. It's something we believe in.
